Faridabad, India
Amrita Hospital, Faridabad is among the largest private hospitals in India, a 2,600-bed campus offering obstetrics & gynaecology, gastroenterology and urology alongside dozens of other specialties.
Amrita Hospital's Faridabad campus was inaugurated in August 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The hospital was founded on the vision of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), is owned and managed by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, and operates as a non-profit-oriented institution. It is described as the largest private multi-specialty hospital in Asia, spread over 130 acres with about 3.6 million square feet of built-up area.
With a planned capacity of 2,600 beds and more than 80 specialities, the hospital has eight centres of excellence: cancer care, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, digestive diseases, orthopaedics and joint replacement, renal sciences, solid-organ transplantation, and mother and child care. It is home to South Asia's first successful bilateral hand transplant and performed India's first fully robotic donor hepatectomy, with over 350 robotic donor liver operations reported.
The hospital has 534 critical care beds monitored by AI-enabled systems, advanced imaging including a Discovery PET-CT, 3 Tesla MRI and a dual-head SPECT-CT, and a strong programme in robotic surgery. It holds NABH, NABL and AACI accreditation, and received the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Award 2025 for patient safety.
Amrita Hospital has a dedicated International Patient Division, designed to serve patients from over 50 countries with cultural sensitivity and multilingual support, including interpreters in Arabic, Russian, French and Swahili. Faridabad is about an hour from central Delhi and the airport.
AlisPro MediTours is a medical travel coordination service, not a hospital. We do not provide medical treatment, and clinical decisions always rest with your treating doctors. What we do is make the journey to this hospital easier to plan and less stressful to manage.
After you send your medical reports through our enquiry form, our coordinators share them with the hospital's international patient team and help you obtain a written opinion and an estimated cost. If you decide to go ahead, we can help with the medical visa invitation letter, flight planning, airport pickup, accommodation near the hospital, local transport, interpreter support and appointment scheduling. During your stay we stay in touch with you and your family, and after you return home we help arrange follow-up consultations and access to your records.
Costs, package inclusions and waiting times vary by hospital, doctor and treatment, so we recommend asking for a written estimate that clearly states what is and is not included.
Preparation makes a big difference to how smoothly a medical trip goes. Gather your recent medical reports, imaging (with the discs or digital files), a list of current medicines and any previous operation summaries, and share them early so the hospital can give a realistic opinion before you travel.
Ask the hospital or your coordinator for the expected length of stay, the likely total cost and what it includes, whether a family member may accompany you, and what follow-up will be needed after you return home. Confirm the treating doctor's name, the accreditation of the department you will use and how emergencies are handled.
Most international patients enter India on a medical visa, which normally requires an invitation letter from the hospital. Check the validity of your passport, arrange travel insurance that covers medical travel where possible, and plan for extra days in case treatment or recovery takes longer than expected. Keep copies of all documents on your phone and in your luggage.
Faridabad is an industrial city south-east of Delhi, roughly 45 to 75 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport depending on traffic, and it is linked to Delhi by the Metro and the Delhi–Mathura highway. Hotel options are more limited than in central Delhi, so many international patients book accommodation close to the hospital or in South Delhi. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are available. The climate follows the Delhi pattern, with hot summers, a monsoon from July to September and cooler winters. Hindi and English are widely used in hospitals.
