Gurugram, India
Sanar International Hospitals in Gurugram is a 200-bed multi-specialty hospital offering orthopaedics, cardiology and neurology care, built to serve both domestic and international patients.
Sanar International Hospitals, now Shalby Sanar International Hospital, was founded by Mr. Naresh Kapoor and opened around 2018 on Golf Course Road in Sector 53, Gurugram. It later became part of the Shalby group, founded by Dr. Vikram I. Shah, which began as a joint replacement centre in Ahmedabad and has performed more than 150,000 joint replacements. The hospital was the first in Gurugram to receive AACI accreditation and is also accredited by JCI and NABH. It is one of the first hospitals in India to receive Les Clefs d'Or concierge membership for luxury services to international patients.
The hospital is a multi-super speciality facility with more than 30 specialities and centres of excellence in oncology, neurosciences, nephrology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, transplants and critical care. It offers cancer care, heart care, blood and marrow transplants, kidney and liver transplants, and is best known for bone and joint services. Its orthopaedic team has expertise in revision hip and knee replacement using computer navigation, special implants and frozen bone grafts.
The hospital has around 150 beds, including about 35 ICU beds with transplant ICU capability, and is part of a group with thousands of doctors, surgeons and support staff.
The hospital is a preferred destination for medical travellers and has treated patients from countries including Iraq, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kenya, Ghana, Somalia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Fiji. It provides dedicated international patient services, travel coordination, interpreters and customised treatment plans.
AlisPro MediTours is a medical travel coordination service, not a hospital. We do not provide medical treatment, and clinical decisions always rest with your treating doctors. What we do is make the journey to this hospital easier to plan and less stressful to manage.
After you send your medical reports through our enquiry form, our coordinators share them with the hospital's international patient team and help you obtain a written opinion and an estimated cost. If you decide to go ahead, we can help with the medical visa invitation letter, flight planning, airport pickup, accommodation near the hospital, local transport, interpreter support and appointment scheduling. During your stay we stay in touch with you and your family, and after you return home we help arrange follow-up consultations and access to your records.
Costs, package inclusions and waiting times vary by hospital, doctor and treatment, so we recommend asking for a written estimate that clearly states what is and is not included.
Preparation makes a big difference to how smoothly a medical trip goes. Gather your recent medical reports, imaging (with the discs or digital files), a list of current medicines and any previous operation summaries, and share them early so the hospital can give a realistic opinion before you travel.
Ask the hospital or your coordinator for the expected length of stay, the likely total cost and what it includes, whether a family member may accompany you, and what follow-up will be needed after you return home. Confirm the treating doctor's name, the accreditation of the department you will use and how emergencies are handled.
Most international patients enter India on a medical visa, which normally requires an invitation letter from the hospital. Check the validity of your passport, arrange travel insurance that covers medical travel where possible, and plan for extra days in case treatment or recovery takes longer than expected. Keep copies of all documents on your phone and in your luggage.
Gurugram lies south-west of Delhi, roughly 20 to 40 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport by road, depending on traffic. It is a corporate hub with many hotels and serviced apartments around Golf Course Road, Cyber City and the Sohna Road corridor, and it is linked to Delhi by the Metro, including the HUDA City Centre line. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are easy to find. The weather is hot in summer, humid during the monsoon and pleasant in winter. English and Hindi are widely spoken, which makes day-to-day communication straightforward.
